“Courage starts with showing up and letting ourselves be seen. Vulnerability is the birthplace of innovation, creativity, and change.” -Brene Brown

Hello and welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S) with over ten years of experience in the counseling field. I believe that as humans, we are wired for connection, and healing can take place in the context of safe, meaningful relationships such as with a trusted counselor.

I offer a collaborative, strengths-based, person-centered therapeutic approach. As a counselor, I aim to empower and equip individuals and families with the confidence, skills, and resources that they need to achieve positive mental health and sustainable wellness in all dimensions of their lives. I have worked with individuals and families of diverse ages, backgrounds, and presenting problems in hospital, school, and community settings. I specialize in working with adolescents, young adults, and adults who are experiencing relational challenges, mood disorders, anxiety, life transitions, attachment trauma, and personality disorders. I am particularly passionate about promoting healing and connection in family systems. With specialized training in emotion-focused family therapy and mentalization based family therapy, I offer family therapy from an attachment and emotion-focused perspective. I also enjoy working with women who are navigating life transitions, and I possess specialized training in supporting mothers in the perinatal period. As a Christian, I believe in the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and spirit. I am comfortable with integrating faith and spirituality in our work together, should that be desired.

I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Rice University and my master’s degree in counseling from University of Houston. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and close friends, visiting parks, reading, eating at new restaurants, and volunteering with my church. I look forward to getting to know you!
